Al Eisa Applauds the Leaders' Directions and Prince Salman's Efforts to Release the Youth Potentials
Samba Won "2008 Best National Institution for Employment" Award for the Second Time in a Row
His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz, Riyadh Governor, handed over to Mr. Eisa M. Al Eisa, Samba's Managing Director and CEO, the 1428/1429 "Best Employment" Award, granted annually from the Institute of Public Administration to the best national institution that employs the largest number of the Institute's graduates, and in appreciation of Samba's efforts in sponsoring the "Twelfth Graduate and Job Day" organized by the Institute on Sunday 20/5/1429H (25/05/2008), under patronage of his Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz.
Al Eisa expressed his delight for winning this Award for the second year in the row, and for the 4rth time in 6 years after 1422/1423, 1423/1424, and 1427/1428H, which reflects Samba's premier position as well as its pioneering role and consistent approach to provide employment opportunities to the Saudi talents in general and the Institute's graduates in particular to serve the community through boosting Saudization efforts and human resources development plans.
Al Eisa ascertained that the unprecedented boom of the Saudi economy requires consolidating all efforts to qualify young Saudi cadres to meet the huge demand of the extensively expanding sectors, serve the interests of the national economy and cater to the steadily escalating needs of the local market. Thus, private sector institutions, including banks, are driven toward developing a new generation of ambitious Saudi youth to assume their full responsibility and lead the banking sector in the future. Al Eisa appreciated the Royal directions of the farsighted Leadership and the untiring efforts of HRH Prince Salman toward preparing the young national generations to confront the future challenges and giving way to empowering Saudi talents through all economy segments.
Al Eisa further indicated that Samba has put the issue of qualifying the young national talents among its top priorities as reflected in its training and developmental efforts and continued collaboration with specialized educational and training institutions including the Institute of Public Administration.
"Our responsibility toward national economy and Saudi youth prompted us to develop and adopt a number of developmental and training programs that are capable of enhancing the professional careers of the Saudis and promote the high performance standards" said Al Eisa, and added: "to that end, Samba established its own Center for Financial and Banking Studies, which provides high standard programs".
Samba's Center for Financial and Banking Studies provides two programs for new graduates after they join Samba: (1) Banking Qualification Program, for three to six months, which provides theoretical and practical courses for the graduates of the Institute of Public Administration, who are willing to join a local financial or banking institution, giving them the opportunity to acquire the skills and work methodologies, practice financial and banking transactions, develop their communication skills to transact with and serve customers, and acquire the basic skills to work at one of the Bank's departments.
(2) The second program is "the Administrative Assistants Qualifying Program" which targets distinctive university graduates who aspire to practice banking. It is an advanced Program that spans over twelve months and provides intensive theoretical and practical courses on all banking business aspects. It is about acquiring deep knowledge of the Bank and its products and services and qualifying the candidates to assume effectively their job responsibilities in the Bank, which will be assigned to them according to the Bank's needs, as will as the trainee's skills, desire and qualifications.
